Your body, intertwined with your mind, soul and emotions, is the deepest home we inhabit in our time on Earth. Your body is the home from which all others are built.
Yet our bodies are vulnerable. They can be wounded, broken, cut, exhausted, wrung out, disconnected. They can be rejected for not fitting a societal or social paradigm. They remember every event that happens; if not consciously, then as a weight, a limitation or constriction, or simply a scar on the skin. Our body, as Bessel van der Kolk says, keeps the score.
We can change that score. By befriending and tending to our bodies with attention, care, movement and inquiry, we can inhabit our bodies more deeply than we dreamed.
I work with the whole person, creating a safe place where the body can release unprocessed and incomplete actions, constrictions and feelings in its own time. I work with a range of bodies, welcoming your whole personhood to the table. Through gentle presence and attention, clients find greater coherence, connection and a stronger sense of self. . After decades of bodywork, I know in my bones the road toward wholeness, a journey that is one of the most rewarding human experiences possible.
I’ve worked with people post operatively, after car accidents, personal life events, athletes seeking performance and folks of all genders. I am dedicated to learning new ways to help people feel whole, and to cultivating touch, our first sense.
